[Vwdiesel] Turbine Cars

Another answered the turbine car part of the question.  I'll offer an
observation regarding the Williams FW415 turbine engine used in the
Tomahawk cruise missile.  Cost: approx. $90,000.  Design life: 4 hours.
(and it doesn't run on kerosene or JP-4.  It's fueled with a special
"high energy" jet fuel.  Not available to the general public.  Hell,
even the specifications of the fuel are (were?) classified.)

A better choice might be the General Electric T700.  It's designed to be
hooked to a gearbox and fueled by JP-4.  You can see them in racing
application at any Unlimited Hydroplane race.
