Improving my Quantum:
What % of power in the form of heat from a diesel is pushed round the water
system?
How many radiators/ btu's could it supply....
What % of heat(power)goes down the exhaust?
How much energy is recouped by the turbo?
Why am I asking these questions? :-D
I think we could design a super efficient diesel(veg)car that also ran on
electricity gained from
i)Braking energy
ii) Heat energy...Using A pair of Stirling engines one on the exhaust and the
other in the rad hose...make it three...use another one to extract the heat
out of the intercooler :-D
(For those who dont know these operate a bit like a heat pump refrigerator
except instead of extracting heat out of say a river to heat your home by a
pump...the energy is used to drive the pump which can either drive a propshaft
etc or drive an alternator...)
