[Vwdiesel] sudden clatter

SORRY FOR THE INCORRECT SUBJECT IN MY LAST POST

Hi Folks,

I replaced the hard lines in my 1.9 na type aaz engine today (vanagon). One
had started spraying last week so I replaced them all with new lines from
Overland designed for the 1.9.

As soon as I start up there is a noticeable amount of loud clatter that does
not go away, it did get slightly quieter, and there was loss of power as
well,

I remain dumfounded as to what could have caused this problem. My mechanic
only got as far as checking the injectors today and will hopefully have some
idea in the afternoon, in the meantime I'm going crazy trying to figure this
one out, could I have possibly damaged valves? The engine has only 3100 mi
on it and was running well.

Please help set my mind at ease,
