My 2003.06.18 test results sheet states max opacity allowable for my
1982 vanagon with 1.6L NA is 30.00.  I got 6.11 on the test.  Cost of
test was $24, good for one year.

Test driver drove it waaaay harder and up to much higher rpms than I
would ever dare.  I was waiting for him to put a rod through the case.
I was sitting in the passenger seat (as I had to help him find first
gear...) and yelling at him, "For the love of God, man, shift,
SHIFT!!!"  How a guy is able to alternately lug an engine under full
load and and over-rev an engine under full load (and back and forth and
back and forth) in a two minute test is almost beyond me.  It's like he
was trying to break it.  I paid $24 to put my bus through that kind of
abuse??
