[Vwdiesel] Radio recommendation

Hope this isn't too late, but when I replaced the radio in my 92 Jetta,
I stumbled over an item that saved a good bit of time on installing the new
one,
The best was a Scoche (sp?) wiring coupling which I got from an ebay
vendor for about $10. They're make and model specific. It allowed me to
plug the new radio directly into the stock wiring connector. Directions
were pretty straightforward, and it took about an hour to connect the new
radio's wires into the coupling and then about a minute to plug it directly
into the car's existing connector. It beat the daylights out of
semi-guessing which wire from the new stereo connected to which wire in the
dash and hooking them together while trying to figure out how to support the
new radio.
If the new stereo comes with the removal tool, be sure to keep it, too.
BTW, is there a cheap source for the door speaker covers which are
ingeniously placed where feet are guaranteed to break them?
    HTH,
    Scott Kair
