Hey gang,

I got my 1.6 TD today out of the semi-wrecked donor car. It came out
pretty easy after we disconnected anything.but to the point, right?

Well, it has three engine mounts. One up front dead center, and two in
the rear corners, attached to the K-frame. All are nice heavy duty
mounts, and then driver's side looks like it may have been slightly
damaged in the wreck.maybe needing replacement. It came out of the '86
Jetta Wolfsburg I found at the auto body shop down the road. (I hate to
see it go to the junk yard, but it has a bent frame. It had power
everything including the sunroof, and nice seats that were ruined when
they left the sunroof open in this nice east coast "sunny" weather we've
been having.)

My problem is that I know my '82 Rabbit has four engine mounts, not
three like are on the TD engine. My four are the typical, front, back
(under the engine), and sides (right dead center on the sides) on the
A1's. Is there any way to mount this puppy in my A1 Rabbit? Do I need
to go back and get that K-frame and swap it for the one in my car? I
have a feeling that putting the NA mounts on the TD motor would not
work, or rather that they wouldn't hold up too well.

If there is absolutely no way to mount this one in there, or if it
wouldn't be cost effective to, I guess I may have to sell it. But I
would much rather put it in the Rabbit.

Please help me!!!!! My rabbit is craving a TURBO!!!!

Mikey
