I wish some of the "REAL" mechanics would step forward. ( I am an amateur )=
=2E (radio too) --70 + so , yes honed many a cylinder ---seated many rin=
gs (successfully) . But there are so many variables that each job must be=
looked at individually. I am talking to DIY guys only . Most professional =
shops know what to do by now.The run in and seating is particularly importa=
nt for diesels . (better starting) on gas jobs you just burn a bit of oil ,=
no big deal.----I am going to do my first bonami job on a 1.5L NA sitting =
here running on a piece of plywood in the driveway. It has no exhaust manif=
old or intake manifold installed ,so I can do one cylinder at the time.Cyli=
nders may be glazed , if so the blowby should be less after I feed it the B=
onami. stay tuned. Hagar.
PS: very important !!! Use straigt oil or (break in oil) no additives. That=
is a well proven advice.
