[Vwdiesel] Heater Core Service Campaign, recall?

I'm pretty sure someone in this group told me or mentioned it - is there a
VW recall, or service campaign, or whatever they want to call it, to address
failed heater cores?
I called the VW Cust Svc line at 800-EAT-SH!T and they told me they never
heard of it.  Punch in my VIN and there was nothing.
I have a '91 Jetta TD, and of course the heater core has failed.  CDN$70 in
Vancouver but what the heck, worth a try...
