Yes, it was. The 3-series and 5-series was offered here in Europe with
an inline-6 diesel engine, both with and without turbo.. I don't
remember the power output, but I think it was about 100 hp without
turbo and 115-120 with.. Some of the turbo cars found their way to the
US too..
