I've noticed since I started using synth oil, my turbo (87 jetta) seems to
wind at a lower throttle application.
I can hear it start to sing at 30mph (50km). Formerly with dino juice, I
never heard it until out on the highway at 50 mph, or pulling the trailer.

Probably a combo of the synth having lower friction, and maybe cleaning out
the cartridge. I'm not the least interested in opening it up to see. I like
to drive, and fix when necessary, and if it's not broke, leave it alone.

I've never heard the turbo on the 94 1.9L, probably because I haven't torn
out all the plastic and sound insulation yet. :*)

The 87 is much lighter than stock, everything not essential to locomotion
has been removed!
