Can anyone sit in the/back of his /her Diesel Vanagon and hear the
driver or for that matter the person sitting next to them???
Does anyone out there have a solution for making a Vanagon quieter? I
love our Vanagon and my wife likes it, the biggest problem is the noise
on longer trips. We would love to travel with it but the strain on our
voices talking to the kids in the back is killing us. I've filled most
of the body panels with fiberglass insulation and that helped a little.
I think I saw some where something about filling some of the body
cavities underneath with minimal expanding foam-does anyone know which
ones? Are there any known quick fixes? It runs like a top, we love the
space, but the noise is killing us.
We were discussing improving it but we thinking putting anymore money
into it until it's quieter might be a waste (or at least my wife does..)
the engine mounts are new as well as the 1.9na engine please help..
Thanks in advance,
-Arthur
