i am working on the same thing right now. progress is slow only due to other
commitments.

depends on which way you set it up. some recirculate the execess fuel/wvo at
the pump, others return it back to the tank. the tickle book shows full
returns. i think that greasel setup does not return to the wvo tank. i can
not remember. neoteric's shows it as an option i think.

if you use complete supply and return lines to both diesel and wvo the
little amount of fuel left in the the return/bypass will end up in the other
tank when you switch over. so that product will 'mix' in with the other
fuel. benefit to complete return system is that you are recirculating hot
fuel/wvo back into the tank it came from, further heating that tank. it also
depends on how often you switch over. lots of short trips would result in
more mixing than long trips.

if you use a closed loop around the pump, then when you switch from wvo to
diesel, you will mix the two in the pump, effective creating the 'solution'
in the pump.

personally, i don't like the idea of recirculating the fuel at the pump, i
think it could get REALLY hot there. the fuel cools the pump as well as
lubricates it. i am trying to squeeze as much life out of my pump as
possible.

the only'extra' work you have to do to make the second return line is the
extra fitting and pex tubing in the return line. you have already done it to
the supply line.

ps: if anyone is going to do a conversion in the next few weeks, let me
know. maybe we can do a quasi group buy. i am needing pex and coolant hose,
both come in 50 quantities. contact me off-list.
