[Vwdiesel] 2 diesel pickups FS in NY

hi,
I wanted to give the list first dibs on these before flogging them out on
Ebay.
81 diesel 5spd red with red interior and red cap, sliding back window,
factory air, 171k beautifully redone headliner and professionally redone
seats am/fm cass.
beautiful strong and rust free shock towers. good brakes including e-brake
(recent cables) very straight nose and grille and front bumper
brand new radiator. recent complete exhaust (manifold back),  2yr old rebuilt
head from jack ewald's diesel shop.  timing belt, glow plugs and rebuilt
injectors all installed at same time.  good tailgate (actually the original
one was stolen so this is a repainted black one repainted red.)

the bad news: blown head gasket. was a great daily runner until it blew.  now
it hard starts and runs very rough and has major pressure from the coolant
tank. so basically it doesnt run.  Also it received a lite hit in the rear by
a large Cadillac it held up quite well, but I had to remove the center part
of the rear bumper because it went underneath the spare tire frame so it
wouldnt come down , it also buckled the rear quarter a bit. doesnt interfere
with correct operation though. 4 awful worn tires mounted but comes with 2
good snows and 2 good all season pairs.  small rust at bottom of doors. ask
for pictures, I can email many.
NY state inspected until april

next one is a friend's (I've never driven it but I started it and checked the
clutch back and forth in the yard.  I have many pix of this one also.)
Silver LX model with Blue interior and white cap (the really cool kind with
the skylite windows and homemade curtains) 5spd, sliding rear window,  CRUISE
CONTROL!!! (looks aftermarket dont know if it works but cool idea!) solid
straight body. little rusty around winshield looks like it was patched with
JB Weld.  Starts right up  head looks rebuilt. it comes with extra parts,
including new struts in box, alternator etc, etc.  GTI Wheels good tires.

Now the bad news.  Just in front of the drivers side strut mount is a serious
rust hole I have a good close up of this if you want to see it.  I dont think
it would be too tough to fix though. it hasnt been on the road in a while so
it needs a good cleaning.
