Similar experiences here in central Illinois, but your high end is
still lower than what I've seen here in town. Generally, the local outlets
are within a few pennies, but with one regular piker along the interstate
and one discount water-and-algae outlet that nobody buys from more than
once. There was a fifteen cent spread yesterday, though.
The odd part was that I had to attend a meeting 120 miles away on
Thursday- same state- and the spread along there was well over a quarter a
gallon, with a low of $1.52, but generally about $1.79.
Has anyone else seen the new digitized price signs that are wired into
the pumps so the price can be changed from inside the station at the touch
of a button? Rotten. Really rotten.
