[Vwdiesel] Jetta door, window questions

I just fixed the outer weather seal tonight on my "new" '85 Jetta D, which had
started to come off the body over the driver's door. Strange, since this car has
half the mileage of my other '85, and all the rubber is perfect on it. Anyway,
some other things on this car that seem odd for its relatively low mileage
(258k km): the driver's door sags more than I would expect, I think even more
than my other one - it noticeably rubs no the latch post. Can I loosen the hinge
bolts and try to adjust the door, or do I just live with it?

Also, most of the window cranks are quite stiff, especially the driver's door.
Again, very strange compared to my other Jetta, but this car spent a lot of time
sitting - it only had 30k kms on it since 1992! I've removed & cleaned the
window seals & used silicone on them, but they are still stiff, so I think it is the
crank itself. Can this thing be lubed? I seem to recall it's a fully enclosed cable
type thing? I haven't pulled the door panel yet. Any tips?
