[Vwdiesel] vacuum pump woes

Hello list,

My vacuum pump is not long enough to engage the drive on my oil pump .
i think i used an early model oil pump without the long shaft.   So, my
question is this --   does anybody kno where i can get an early model
vacuum pump - *OR*  does anybody know the correct pieces to swap out to
make the pump drive correct.     HELP!!
