Jon : give us a bit of history -- like model year -- how long sitting s=
alt damage --removing tank is a good option , but not on rusty specimens. =
-- Installing a spin on house tank filter is a piece of cake and they are c=
heap . Prefilters are common in diesel land. Bad news is that it sounds l=
ike your tank is infected with micro organisms. So after cleaning it make =
sure you follow suggestions mentioned under Dieselfuel 101. Google =
"Jet fuel Biodegradation " -- tons of airliners sitting in the desert --t=
aking the tanks out for cleaning NOT an option. so do like they are doing =
and you problem is solved. Why do I take all this time on this ???. It affe=
cts ALL the old "senior" Rabbits here. Boeing has to clean 747 tanks when s=
amples show micro infections.(expensive) .Buy some "BIOBOR" and use it. L=
et us know how often you change filters -- save old filters and dissect (I =
do all the time and unroll them and dry and file) more on this as times =
permit.I shall post pictures of clogged filters soon. Hagar.
