As I explained previously the oil companies will not do the proper tests du=
e to cost  --- the regulators will not test for the same reason. So here is=
 what the oil company does. "use a formula" and a sliderule.The following c=
omes right from the refiner.(allow for my typing mistakes).  Numbers are fr=
om 1994.I use for rudimentary testing. (specific gravity)

Cetane #  38      --  0.876         #  42  --   0.862    #  43  --   0.858 =
