[Vwdiesel] TD engine found - $200, unknown condition

There is a note on the hood of the car...written in construction/junkyard m=
arker that says..."Need starter off it." If that means that the starter is =
toast, how much am I looking financially to replace it? I have two starters=
 in the garage that go to the 1.6 NA engines...will those work?

Dad paid $350 for a rebuildable core and we thought it was a good deal.
See
if you can get him to leave the tranny and starter attached while you're at
it. :)
