>>It's definitely not a Phillips. The "bolt" has a star-shaped hole in it.
Not a screwdriver, not an Allen wrench. The bolt is also six sided, so I
guess a socket could get it off as well. But the bolt is quite thin, so I'm
not sure how much of a bite I can get on it with a socket.<<

Well, you got me curious, so I went out and checked. The bolt is, um, I
guess you could call it bisexual. T-40 torx or 13mm hex will remove it. I
used the hex socket when I removed it. The force would be more evenly
spread with the socket, but a magnetized torx would be real handy for
putting it back in.
No kidding, get a new rubber grommet before you do it if the age of the
current one is unknown. The part number on my receipt is, of course,
illegible, but it is called a grommet.
The cable-end gear is only about $8, with the clip another 75 cents, but
getting the right gear can challenge dealer parts people. Wiggle the cable
out very gingerly; it's angled in, unlike the straight drop-ins on A1's.
The gear fits snugly, but a new clip might be good insurance. It's very
small- I almost went cross-eyed getting it on.
Also, if you add through the cable hole, a long, thin funnel is
mandatory to get through the spaghetti bowl around it.

    >>Thanks for Scott! }:o)<<

    Glad I could help.

     Take care,
    Scott Kair
