Actually the computer that controls the TDI might not function at these
temps. Depends on the quality of the components VW uses. MIL-Spec are more
expensive and hell, Europe doesn't get that cold...so it looks like a
cost-reduction area to me...roll the dice...!

Up here in Soviet Canuck-istan, you need a 700 Watt Block heater, 80W
Battery blanket, 200W oil pan heater, heated fuel filter and maybe just a
little shot of ether (keeping the can warm under your arm) to get going. And
sometimes the car needs help too...!
