  There's a magnet in there to catch metallic debris.  Problem is it's
situated
really close to the relatively small, pinion bearing. So, if it gets very
"full" it
sheds crap into the bearing.  Always clean that thing if you have a tranny
apart!  Other than as Roger stated, run warm and drain, there's not much
more you can do other than disassembly.  Usually you'll find GL-5 but if
you look you can find GL-4.  I run Amsoil because it's easy for me to get.
The Redline is thinner.  :)
