[Vwdiesel] Any A2 or A3 diesel automatics?

I only know of US spec cars.  Canada could be different.

I know MK2 Diesel automatics were made.  I remember seeing in an old MK2
owners manual how the diesel automatic had two "D" selections.  One was the
normal "drive", let off the brake and the car would move if the motor was
idling.  The other "D" had a circle around it.  If you used this setting,
the transmission would automatically shift into neutral when you were
standing still.  And when you stepped on the gas pedal it would engage the
transmission again.

No MK3 diesels were offered in the US except the 1997 - 1999 Jetta TDI, and
all of them were 5 speeds.
