Just thought I'd let everyone know that AMSOIL now offers a 100% synthetic
Group 4 (100% synthetic basestocks) CI-4 5w-40 motor oil.  It meets VW
505.00 but not VW 505.01 so it's not recommended for use in the TDI PD.

Retail price is $6.30 per quart and $74.40 per case of 12 quarts ($6.20 per
quart).  Less expensive than the Group 3 (dino oil basestocks) Castrol
Syntec 5w-30 that the dealership uses.
