  Usually at those prices it's use it, oil it occasionally and it lasts as 
long 
as you care to use it.  Sometimes they do fail and it's generally cheaper 
and easier to get a new one.  The orchard has two dead 1/2 inch drive 
impacts.  I tore the weakest one down twice and had no luck but I was 
kind of in a hurry.  Never tried the ok one.  The good one works so much 
better that nobody would use the one and maybe the other if they DID 
work.
