[Vwdiesel] CV joints

I know someone who had their VW CV joint sieze up during extreme cold,
as he hit a pothole. The car slid all over the place, and it was a real
pain to fix out of the shop. That, plus lower CV joint costs, has made
me elect to replace when in doubt. The only time I don't is when I
find a torn boot shortly after it happened. Then I just reboot, or
clean, grease and reboot. Some things aren't worth having fail on the
road.
