[Vwdiesel] 1980 VW pickup for sale Seattle

Well, I just found out that I'm moving to Anchorage in a month, so the 1980 project must go.  Thought I'd let you all have a shot at it first.

1980 VW pickup LX, repainted two-tone blue.  $850 - located in Concrete, WA - 2 hours north of Seattle.

The Good:

*NICE* body, no major rust (surface rust in places including lower seam below driver's window)
REBUILT cylinder head less than 5000 miles on it
NEW exhaust system with a glasspack muffler
GOOD tires, practically new
NEW battery, 1000CA
TIGHT suspension, no rattles - I know, it's amazing for an a1.
SMOOTH shifting, drives, stops, turns, does all the things you need to drive it home.
ONLY 84,000 miles!

The bad:
PO didn't retorque the cylinder head after 1000 miles, so I replaced the gasket again.  I've been fiddling with it for a few months. I drove it around for a while, parked it one morning and them it wouldn't start.  Had it towed home.  I can get it running but it's spewing black smoke until it warms up.  

Oh yeah, driver's seat is torn, has steel wheels with some rust, etc. etc. etc.
