John Deere had some multiuse multigrade oil, similar to what you mention.
Interesting to note, the guy that bought the afforementioned Mack truck
switched to that oil.  Engine lasted a year.  Could have been other  factors
but I always put it down to the oil- the rods and mains were plastigauged
when we sold it... more for insurance than a selling feature.  Paid off.
