[Vwdiesel] Broken Exhaust Studs

Chris,
On the early A1 Rabbits, there was a corrugated flex pipe between the
2-1 manifold and the rest of the exhaust system.
Even though your system is much shorter, there is just as much mass to
be vibrating with the engine. I think a flex pipe of some sorts would
help out here. Though, according to the EKTA schematics, it shows no
flex pipe for the vanagon what so ever.

As far as stud/nut material goes, the standard grade(*) steel will last
a long time if properly kept coated with a high-temp anti-seize. I like
the copper stuff. Lasts a long time.
