Actually aircraft grade bolts are around grade 3 if the remember is working

Justin if you read carefully ---- it was not standard A-N hardware that was mentioned.

It was "High Strength" like Cat but better. Cat is fine as far as I am concerned.
But Cat only sells a small amount of bolts compared to the aircraft industry.

Look up in a catalogue for high tensile bolts and studs. I would use a stud.
That way you can use every thread in the block. They cost a lot of money so the best
way is like Gary Bangs said Raceway studs. Bangs on.

Exactly how critical are the headbolts ? very. I know of bolts letting go on Cummins and GM's
and what not.Long time after they were installed. Go for quality. IF need be do a brinell test.
and a magnaflux. Why fuzz so much ? --- head-gasket leaks ---that's what.

A fuzz in time saves nine. I am fuzzy believe you me. ---kind of let you sleep at night without night mares. ----- If you did NOT fuzz and something let go ? ah --got it ?.

If the sprocket on cam slipped ? and bolt was not fuzzed ? ask Shalyn.

Hagar.

PS: My cam bolts are 45 foot pounds. And I sleep at night.
