[Vwdiesel] Emergency Fuel? A slight Tangent...

numerous stories of people panicking because they were about to run
their cars out of gas.
  Of course, I'm chuckling to myself as I pass everyone waiting for gas.

Gary    :  --- the fact that you are on line , means I can get off my knees.

I still have many friends in Florida -------- more or less lost contact with most of
them over the years.

This is a case where the Rabbit diesel has it all over the old Beetle.  Emergency fuel
can be found on the shelf in many stores. Grocery,Hardware,Paint-stores,the list
could go on for a page or two. -----  .

Now how do you prepare a say a trailer in a trailer park for winds like that ? or
a house? .  In this place no mortgage can be had on a trailer until cement anchors
are installed ---buried in the ground.

I got hit by a twister here some years ago ----very costly.   I will never recover.
Insurance would only cover main house.      When it hit early in the morning
I was in the kitchen ---and when I saw the two kittens try to squeeze under the stove.
I broke up laughing like a fool.

The most costly part was the rain after the roof was gone. All the very expensive equipment
in the Rabbit shed ---rusted and so on.

PS:  yes  Mark Shepherd I did get beened by a piece of wood from the high ceiling.
It was then I stopped laughing.(or was it when I started ? )
