Ah yes,
wires D and E on the harness are connected to a reverse polarity switch, so that
D = + and E = -; this is reversed when switch is flipped. 
Wires A and C on harness go to the sender units on the main and auxilliary
tanks; B goes to the fuel level gauge on your dash.
Are you installing an SVO (straight vegetable oil) fuel system in a diesel?
That's what I use them for.
I've logged about 50,000 miles now on SVO.
