[Vwdiesel] Oil useage, my brain is in overdrive

Ok, I'm in the middle of wallpapering our daughters bathroom and my mind
starts to run, I'm thinking my oil consumption is about one qt to 400 miles
depending on my driving. Now the tube running from my cam cover breather to
the turbo is soaked with oil, I pulled it off today while the car was warmed
up and idling, You can see a fine mist flowing from the breather and can
feel a good steady pressure of air as well.  Now I took the oil fill cap off
and looked in there and you can see on the side of the oil deflector the oil
just a pouring off the deflector and feel air pressure out of the fill cap
as well. So I'm getting plenty of flow.  I know my great compression of
460psi on all 4 cylinders is great and it doesn't really mean the oil is
controlled well, right? Anyway I never messed with the turbo, it has 163k on
it, Is it possible that the seals in it are bad enough to allow the crank
case to be pressurized like that through the oil return line? Thus causing
my excessive blow by? Making the engine suck down large amounts of oily mist
out of the cram cover?.  I found a freshly reconditioned turbo for the same
price as what it is going to cost me to have mine reconditioned. Would it be
wise to purchase it and install and see what happens? Also can the seals of
the turbo cause enough pressure loss in the oil system to warrant my low oil
pressure? 

The other thing is since I'm sucking so much oil down my intake, this is
probably what is causing my fast idle. It doesn't do it all the time and I
have run good clean diesel in it along with some 2 cycle mix to lube the
pump thinking it might be sticking, but it still now and then holds a fast
idle.  Oh and to clean that messy intake system, I guess the only way is to
pull it off and clean it, no other way to clean it up is there?

Sorry for all the questions. Just that it has been bothering me a lot lately
and I don't want to mess something up running it with all that oil going
down the intake like it is.
