Well guys, I have come to a point where a decision must be made. My
son, who has been driving my Caddy, has enlisted in the Navy and will
soon be leaving for boot camp. The problem is, I have too many cars
and too many projects. I know I want to keep the Jetta TDI so no sale
on it. That leaves the 82 Scirocco turbo diesel project, which I
haven't started yet or the Caddy. Sooooooo...it has a completely
rebuilt turbo engine with just over 12000 miles on it, rebuilt
injection pump, rebuilt turbo, rebuilt injectors, new axle shafts, new
brakes front and back, Scirocco seats, boost, oil temp and exhaust temp
gauges in a GTI center console, painted dash with dash cover (could be
redone), AC works but has a freon leak in the compressor, rear slider
window, GTI air dam and wheel arches, crystal high output headlights,
and a diamond plate rear bumper, Headliner is a joke but it is stuck
on (vinyl). Floors have been derusted and doubled (new pans overlain
from the bottom). It needs front bearings but those will be included.
Included would also be a camper shell (steel) that needs paint but is
in good condition, a second set of VW alloys, and for anyone
interested, the rear end of a Caddy with tail gate, lights axle etc. I
would also fill the bed with all my extra parts. I have much to much
money tied up in the truck but was thinking in the range of $3500 if
any one is interested. I have a local guy that is trying to talk me
out of it for $2500 and so far I have resisted because I know it is
worth more than that. I could probably meet someone with the truck
within a 200 mile radius or so as it is really easy to tow. Anyway if
anyone is interested let me know before I decide to put it on ebay. I
would rather have a real lover have it than just some so and so. So
what do you think? Is it worth it? BTW if anyone needs pictures, you
can check out my website and I can send new ones if you want. AND
before anyone asks, I am located smack dab between Dallas and Ft.
Worth, Texas right next to the DFW International Airport. hayden
