Thanks for the thoughts on the cabrio transplant, I'll get both donar and recipent side by side and see what will visually appear to match up. One of the recips is a automatic so extra work there.
It would appear that this project will require the sale of my 81 caddy some time in late january.too many cars. It's a good runner and solid. I wrenched it out of someone's hands in the south, i live in  chicago. is there a way to 
put pictures on this site or i can just send individuals the several i have.
Wishing all well and as james taylor says "shower the people we love with love" this time of year gets so stressfull for many. r
