[Vwdiesel] TDI questions

I'll take a stab at this, but I'm not absolutely sure
that it's the same as the 2000 Jetta TDI that I had.
The light bulb for the heater controls in mine was
under the center knob. Had to pull the knob off by
pulling it straight out. Didn't need to take the dash
apart at all, which I found out the VERY long and hard
way!! Got the controls off and in my lap and then
found that I still couldn't get to the bulb. Finally
found it under that center knob. But be careful, cause
mine was the 2000 Jetta, like I said, so it's possibly
different.
And I've seen a power drop like you're talking about
in a friends 01 beetle. It ended up being his Mass Air
Sensor. But his had the power drop at a certain RPM,
so depending on which gear you had it in the vehicle
speed varied.
Good luck!
Erik
