Hagar,
How much Canola Oil do you add to each tank of diesel for pump lubrication?

Gilbert and All : Answer 1 liter..

But the answer is not true. Because I experiment all the time. Canaola Oil
is a very good lubricant and Fuel for a Rabbit.

Some caution is in order --- ALL veggie oils will make the damnest VARNISH
when cooked. ---and they go rancid at times so use your brain.

I used "Rimini" canola oil right out of the fridge. ---- it was cheap and handy.

Steal it from the wife ---then it goes in the budget as groceries.

If you use Canola use as much as you can afford 3 liters ? there is no maximum.

But remember with Stanadyne or 2 cycle oils or ParoWax or lubeoils there is no problems like that. My all time favorite is aviation NIL ash oils. I use AD -100 --120 Esso but they
can no longer be had so use the replacement EE -100 ? --- Paraffinic crude
and it is super fuel and lubricant. 2 BIRDS ? bet your sweet ass.

If you use lots of Canola your engine and pump and injectors will like it --
and so will James Hansen and I and many others. Rabbits and alternate fuels are
made for each other ---Rabbits will NEVER starve.

If Rudolf is up there looking down on Hagar --he is smiling , let me tell you .
Coal dust my ass -----he never lived long enoughf to see a Rabbit ---too bad
---so sad ---he would have seen Hagars diesels run on everything you can think off.

I still have to do Lorens test of Toluene ---but it is on the way.

And best of all was a mixture of kerosene and Aviation oil. ----yes it stinks.
But NOTHING here made that Rabbit purr like a cat. Like that.

I am Kyota all the way and UN all the way ----and Canola is one good start on diesels.
Or should I say cars ? If I could get carbon credits for the weeds in the driveway
I would have more than I use in diesel fuel use. Weeds like Douglas Firs and Alders.

IMHO after many experiments ---NOTHING --works cheaper and better than ParoWax
for lubricating a Bosch VE pump. ----I used it on a Kubota long time before I got
snared by Rabbits,. ---More important on a Rabbit -- the Kubota has an
inline pump.

Those VE rotary distribution pumps are the problem. They need lots of lube.

In signing off I like to say that I never had more FUN than I had with these
little beauties ---as delicate as they are they will work . And today I drove
Bunny Bondo as usual and the turbo sang like a siren. I am addicted to driving that girl.

Yes I shall explain what sold me on the TURBO idea.

Hagar.

PS : And I had to take Inge to city hall and the shopping mall ---and she weighs more than the
Rabbit .. but Bunny took in strides. (and so did I)
