[Vwdiesel] Seeping Head Gasket

Hi guys,
I have recently noted small oil spots on my garage floor under the back edge to the passenger's side of the engine.  Finally jacked it up and got under with a good light.  The small leak (seepage) is coming from the front of the engine between the head and the block.  It is not serious enough to create any undue oil leakage, but is making a mess on the driveway and garage floor. I remember some discussion of this problem a while back, but cannot remember the conclusions.
 
1.  Is it advisable to retorque the head?  If so, should it be done warm or cold?
 
2.  How are the archives accessed?
