I figured I should jump in here because I cracked one once.  I used an impact 
wrench but the impact wasn't the reason it cracked.  The wall thickness of my 
socket was the problem.  It caused a bind between the socket and head, that 
side loaded the injector enough to crack out the boss.  If you have a good 
quality socket with a thin enough wall, there's not much reason to fear using your 
impact. For those badly frozen injectors, the impact may be just what the Doc 
ordered. But I will warn that if there's alot of "corrosion crud" that could 
"ball up" in the threads, it might not be a good idea to spin it all the way 
out with the impact.  Just use it to break it loose, then work it out a little 
at a time with your breaker bar.   Good luck, Doug
