[Vwdiesel] Fuse sources

What use a real fuse or circuit breaker when we have all these perfectly 
good beer cans, strands of copper wire, cigarette/gum wrappers, aluminum 
house siding, wine bottle cap wrappers, milk bottle foil etc.  You must be 
kidding :)


  My work van was blowing the light's fuses consistently for a while.  I 
couldn't find the problem and fuses were adding up in $$.  I had a piece 
of old phone wire I'd used for power since it has no cigaratte lighter 
socket.
That wire wrapped around one end of a glass fuse, to the end and wrapped 
around the other end made a great fuse!  Cheap and easy to replace too, 
just strip another inch and a half and tada!  new fuse!
  Short ended up being the wire to the license plate light.  It ran through a 

tight spring so it could flex but not pinch.  It'd finally worn through the 
insulation in one spot and would randomly short out.  VERY inconvenient!
