Occurs to me one of those new infrared laser-guided remote temperature guns,
now getting quite cheap, would be just perfect for checking glow plugs.
Allow engine to cool overnight, cycle the plugs a couple of times, and scan
the end of each plug for temperature. The cold one is the dud. don't even
have to touch them.

My gut feeling is that it will work so I am going to try it.  And I will let you all
know later.
