I went from a 4 to a 5 in the Rabbit and didn't change anything there
other than to upgrade to a "trip odo" speedometer. I'll try and check my
calibration code on it today.
There are two "settings" on a speedo. First is static. With the sppedo
out, lift the needle over the zero stop pin. The needle should rest,
pointing
at a small white line, which isn't visible when it's in the car. The second
is
to run it at the code speed and it should read 60. You have to adjust the
magnet depth to set that then. Just need an accurate speed drive.

That's a good price. It's around what I pay and I sure wouldn't dink with
setting them for little money! Not that it's hard but you run the risk of
leaks or bad spray pattern every time you open one up. Dressing the
parts pretty well eliminates leaks and it usually brings them right into
new break pressure specs too. :)
