What about using 2-stroke oil mixed with Stanadyne, equal ratios.  Seems to 
me the 2-stroke oil would be a better choice.  Ashless, designed as a 
lubricant, yadda yadda.


Actually Marc, from Spain (who seems to have vanished) started that cult 
following here a few years ago.  Several of us DO add 2 cycle on occasion
or regularly.  I do it regularly, when it's handy, convenient and I remember. 
 :)
The only reason I would add ATF is for emergency fuel, possibly as a  
cleaning 
agent at the end of a tank or for leaking seals as someone here has done 
a couple times (Type F for that).  Otherwise too many people in the industry 
DO tend to highly recommend NOT using ATF.  2 cycle has a several of the 
same properties and is DESIGNED to run through pumps and burn.
