[Vwdiesel] 88 diesel swapped into a 95 Golf ? opinions needed, etc.

While I agree it should be fairly simple, I expect there will be a few differences in 
the A3s that would make the swap a bit more tricky, such as:

-exhaust downpipe, may need to source one from an A3 with 1.9IDI diesel, which 
are fairly common in Canada, but not in the US, although not sure if the flange is 
compatible?
-shift linkage if swapping in the A2 trans
-clutch/flywheel if not swapping the A2 trans
-rad hoses - remember the A3 gassers use a cross flow head, so hoses are likely 
different.

Easily manageable, but finding a source of A3 parts might make things go 
smoother...
