[Vwdiesel] new noises - car won't start

Oh - the new noise. -  think of a 12 inch Heavy (1/4 in) Stainless 
Steel being thunked on the bottem intermittently with a big restaurant 
size serving spoon.  Anybody recognize it?


 Sounds likely to be a bad injector along with your not starting on all 
cylinders.
You might have a plugged fuel filter and have you drained the water out 
of the water seperator?
  If you jumped time then it should be blowing copious amounts of white 
smoke and won't idle at all most likely.
