  As Lee pointed out.  The pump turns at HALF crank rpm so maximum 
rpm of the pump would be about 2700rpm and that's in the 1.5.  It goes 
down with the  1.6 and then the TD.
  Of course then there's your crankshaft "thrashing" through the oil at 
double the speed of the pump flyweights.  Windage trays and "knifing" 
the crank help but not by HUGE ammounts.
