[Vwdiesel] Funny noise

[James Hansen]

Check the inner CV joint and it's bolts. There is also a dampener on the
shaft if it's a stock shaft, cut it off and throw it away if it's broken
loose from it's position, and is all the way to one end of the shaft
(usually). 
If the CV joints have never been repacked, it would be a good time and place
to start there.
