Search fred's for the steps to use with Vag-Com to alter the EGR cycle. Try
"EGR Adaptation" It is the cause of the soot buildup.
Then use only a good low volatile synthetic oil, and you are away.
The deposits are where the oil mist from the crankcase meet and react with
the hot soot and exhaust gases coming from the EGR.
