Why may this setup be important to Rabbit --- DIY guys ?

It is so simple to do and undo that if you ever have fuel flow doubts --take a close
look.

Tools ? 3/4 knockout punch ---- I use my Swiss pocket knife for doing the
hoseclamps. So other than making the hole no tools are needed. Make sure to use
the inline filter in jar ---to protect pump.

I did this to start with ---only to check mileage -- with some accuracy -- but the
information gained is far more valuable than that.

Like I stated long time ago ---- flyweights trashing around in oil is a power waste.
And it is. Fuel in jar gets very hot.

Can you measure temp/volume of return fuel from injectors? The volume is relatively
low, but I would imagine the temps are higher.Shawn Wright

Yes Shawn it could be done --but I did not separate the two due to plumbing work needed.
I have measured flow from injectors --many times. Mainly to get a handle on condition
of injectors. The flow was so small that I often let it drain on the ground. I never saw an injector
with anything but dripping.

Yesterday was a day for a "test-drive" and I bumped into a young couple from Norway.
She was very very very good looking "Monika" and when I asked her what she did for a living ?
I am a mechanic she said --- at Toyta in Oslo. Wonder if I can get an apprenticeship
there.? Anyway she was impressed with "Bunny Bondo" and the Jar testing. Her boyfriend
was a Bodyman.
When I got home --- Sigrid from Kalifornia arrived --- driving what ? a white VW Passat
with only 60 000 on the clock. She picked up one of the kittens.(to be fixed) I like to
fix them all in a sack with a rock ---(just kidding) my trouble is that I love animals. It is
costly. ---- hell I use more money on petfood than diesel fuel.

Hagar.
