Maybe the diesel geek will come clean with the drawings to the various
tools...not, but they are pretty...pricey.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] TDI tools

Looks like I'm going to be spending rather a lot of time fixing a TDI
here real soon. To do this, I'm going to need some of the nifty tools
that go with it. I am already going to be spending several hundred
dollars on parts, so I'd like to save some cash on tools. Anyone have
the dimensions on the injection pump lock pin and the thickness of the
camshaft timing plate? I have a friendly machinist who will gladly whip

out some cheap tools if I help him mow his property or perform some
other non-skilled but sweaty labour. Too bad he can't whip up a copy of

the electronic Bentley manual on a lathe too. That and VAG-COM run
$300. That's three days of cleaning up sewage for me.

Thanks!

-Shalyn
